House of Art and Artists

People will come and return to Museo Marino Marini to create, learn, and to be inspired. This new creative ecosystem will include a diverse group of people to help inspire and enable others to be more creative, fulfill their dreams, and come together to enjoy their passions. A museum will become a muse. Inside of the museum, there will be designated areas in the galleries for people to work on their project and craft. These coworking spaces will be designed for individual and collaborative efforts (please see Slides 1 and 2 in presentation linked for illustrative examples). Having people create their masterpieces in the galleries shows the active side of art. If the museum promotes and nurtures this creator mindset and behavior, it will engage others. The emphasis will be on not only the artwork on display, but also the making and doing. Inspiration will be derived from being constantly exposed to the true emotions, craftsmanship, and journey that goes into creating art pieces. The museum and space will also support makers in other ways. A few example include, selling art supplies and artwork created by artists, facilitating discussions/projects on different ideas and provocative themes, and renting storage space for people who return regularly. Outside of the museum, an online community will help scale the creative and collaborative museum experience. Since there are physical space constraints. People around the world will have a place to live stream themselves working on their projects and to connect and work with others on projects (please see Slide 3 in presentation linked for illustrative examples). These two communities will have access to each other in real-time through an online platform. The live streams will be broadcasted and projected on certain surfaces (e.g., walls, dividers, tables) in the museum to bridge the online and offline communities (please see Slide 4 in presentation linked for illustrative examples). The museum leverages both the physical and digital space (e.g., digital art boards, virtual galleries) to become a medium for both creation and consumption of art by connecting people across different geographies and time.
